NASA’s twin solid rocket boosters for Artemis III are fully stacked.
Forward assemblies finish
Engineers have put the nose cones on the left and right forward assemblies. The work is inside the Vehicle Assembly Building at Kennedy Space Center. Each assembly carries an aerodynamic top. A forward skirt houses the avionics. A frustum holds the motors that pull the boosters off the SLS core stage after launch. The two white towers now stand among the steel platforms in the high bay.

On the mobile launcher
The final left and right forward motor segments went onto the mobile launcher on Thursday, Sept. 24. That step happened in High Bay 3. From above, the two large white segments sit on either side of the launcher deck. Workers and platforms ring the hardware.
The engines behind the stack

The boosters ride with the SLS core, and that core flies on RS-25 engines. NASA walked through the engine and its role on Artemis during a webinar for the blind and low-vision community. Four engine bells fill the frame from below, set in yellow and blue scaffolding inside an integration building. A recording of the session is available.
